Well, let's see now: a middle-aged Indian gentleman with his hair and beard bleached platinum blond, wearing bright purple clothing and bright yellow shoes, taking some beverages out for a walk. Huh. There's something you don't see every day - unless of course you live in Paris, in which case you might just see it all the time...
So I forot to mention that blonde Indian dude congratulated me on wearing a bicycle helmet yesterday. He hangs out, as a few of the street guys on this block do, in between the Velib stand and the bushes, and yesterday he beamed a sense of neighborly pride that I cared more about avoiding a head injury than about my hairdo... I felt vindicated that this bold individual shared his approval, having been mocked by more than a few locals for wearing the old helmet... Thanks, blonde Indian dude, you've made my day twice now!
