Ghost lobster
Okay, I am not entirely sure why anyone would require a large lobster knitted out of metallic silver yarn, but if you do want one, this little fella is going for the bargain price of only €80. Don't all rush down to the store at once... (sorry about the glare from the window, but I actually think it makes the photo cooler - doesn't it look like a ghost lobster?)

Where's the love (again)?
Gentle readers, where's the love? You may not have noticed, but I have been making a huge effort to post every day (successfully so far, I might add), but today I looked at my stats and...well, my pretties, *I* have been here, where the hell are YOU?

Things you might see on the street #23 (Bastille)
Ahh, how I've enjoyed the last three posts - partly because it was a fun stroll down memory lane and partly (mostly) because I'm a lazy little sloth and it was bliss to just post things I had already written. If you enjoyed them, you'll be happy to hear that I'll be posting more of the Letters from London at some point, but for now I should probably get back to talking about Paris.
Or, in this case, showing you photos of Paris - in this case, a complete lunatic riding a unicycle into the traffic circle at Bastille, one of the busiest roundabouts in Paris. It looks quiet in the picture, but all those blazing lights on the left-hand side of the photo are oncoming headlights...

Inflatable dogs
Gentle readers, I promised you inflatable dogs a few days ago, and here they are in all their...umm...glory. This is from a window display in the Maje shop in the Marais - I believe the outfits on the mannequins were very nice, but I was too distracted by the inflatable dogs to really notice... (and also, is it weird that I kind of want one?)

Inflatable chicken
Ahhh, Paris. Home to the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre...and the giant inflatable chicken. What? You didn't know about that one? Well, now you do. Just wait until I show you the inflatable dogs...

Totally crap outfit of the week #23
Well, Miss K is often not the brightest bulb in the chandelier, but I'm going to go waaaaay out on a limb here and guess that this lady is somewhat fond of the colour pink. And hey, I like pink as much as the next gal (possibly more, since I have somehow managed to acquire four pairs of pink shoes over the years, which is probably three pairs more than necessary), but this seems a teensy bit excessive. And had I managed to shoot this photo from the front, you would have seen that even her glasses were pink. So, so wrong...

All they need is an Elvis impersonator...
Well, now I've seen it all: a light-up cross, of all things. Love it. The church is so Paris, but that cross is Vegas, baby!

Things you might see on the street #22 (coneheads)
Okay, this is terribly immature and I'm sure it was the result of some drunken student prank, but still: hee!!!

Things you might see on the street #20 (dragon)
Is it just me, or is this dragon the most camp thing you've ever seen? Doesn't he look like he should be wearing sequins and getting ready to belt out "I Will Survive"? I'm sure there's a joke to be made somewhere here about putting the "drag" in dragon, but I'll just leave that with you...

Things you might see in a shop #9
Hmmmm... Now what could this shop be selling? Anyone? I don't know, I just can't seem to figure it out, I really wish they'd stop being so damn mysterious and just tell me already...

Things you might see on the Metro
Really? Lingerie Street? How have I lived in Paris for a year and a half and never seen this before???

Things you might see in a shop #8
Well, it's actually something you might see in a butcher shop, so any of y'all who are vegetarians, stop reading this post now...
Okay, are they gone? Righty-o, the rest of us can continue on. It's not that this is particularly gross, but y'know. Anyway, Tiny Dancer and I had stopped at the boucherie one day to pick up meat for a dish she was making, and we asked the butcher about a particular piece of poultry. His answer: "Zis? Zis is Daffy." Hee! Ahh, nothing like a little butcher humour. And come on, is he not the jolliest looking guy you've ever seen?
